These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter 'T&Cs') are divided into a general part and two supplementary parts. Please note expressly that the relevant subject matter may arise from the various parts of these T&Cs — the general part as well as the supplementary parts — depending on the scope of the services agreed and to be provided.

These T&Cs can be viewed at www.saechsische-dampfschifffahrt.de/agb and are available for download at any time.

The separate conditions of carriage are displayed separately on our ships and form the basis of our transport services.

Part I – General Terms and Conditions of Business and Carriage


§ 1 General provisions / Scope / Conclusion of contract / Ticket prices


  1. These AGBB apply to all voyages of WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH and govern the general conditions of carriage between us and the customer.
  2. These AGBB take effect upon the purchase of a ticket and/or gift voucher and/or when the customer boards the ships. At the latest upon boarding our ships, the customer is obliged to comply with these AGBB and acknowledges them as binding.
  3. Tickets are to be purchased before the start of the trip. Tickets purchased on board may differ in price and concessions.


§ 2 Ticket purchase / Special ticket provisions / Handling of tickets / Lost property


  1. The customer's booking constitutes a binding offer to conclude a contract of carriage, which we may accept within a period of 7 days.
  2. Carriage is subject to the purchase of a ticket for the person(s) to be carried and full payment of the respective ticket(s).
  3. The purchase of the ticket entitles the holder to travel to the agreed extent. There is no entitlement to a specific seat.
  4. If, during the trip, the customer extends the specified and booked route with additional destinations, a corresponding additional ticket must be purchased.
  5. If the customer uses transport services without being in possession of a valid ticket, a fare of €60.00 will be charged.
  6. Lost property must be handed over to the ship's staff immediately.


§ 3 Carriage of persons / luggage / bicycles / other items / rules of conduct


  1. With the exception of the carriage of persons and of bicycles with a valid ticket, there is generally no entitlement to the carriage of further items.
  2. One easily portable item of hand luggage per passenger may be carried, provided other passengers are not inconvenienced.
  3. Prams and wheelchairs can be carried free of charge, provided suitable space is available.
  4. Carrying flammable, explosive, health-hazardous, corrosive, toxic, prohibited and/or otherwise person- or property-endangering items is strictly forbidden.
  5. Dogs may be brought along and must be supervised at all times. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
  6. The sale of goods and the consumption of food and drinks brought on board are not permitted on our ships.
  7. Passengers must follow the instructions of the ship's staff.


§ 4 Provision of services / timetable


We are entitled to have services provided by third parties. Changes to the timetable are reserved. We reserve the right to deploy a ship category other than the one listed in the timetable.



§ 5 Customer's right of withdrawal / image and sound recordings / bookings


Important notice for the special event 'Elbzauber': For the Elbzauber event, withdrawal is only possible if the statutory requirements are met. The following provisions on free cancellation do not apply to Elbzauber.


A free cancellation by the customer is possible for:

  • Scheduled trips:
    • Full cancellation – up to 21 days before departure
    • Cancellation of max. 10 tickets – up to 24 hours before departure
  • Event trips:
    • Full cancellation – up to 21 days before departure
    • Cancellation of max. 10 tickets – up to 7 days before departure
    • Cancellation of max. 2 tickets – up to 24 hours before departure


§ 6 Liability / disclaimer


  1. We are not liable for the loss or damage of money, jewellery and/or other valuables.
  2. Further claims for damages are excluded unless they are due to intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
  3. These disclaimers of liability also apply to the activities of our vicarious agents.


§ 10 Right of withdrawal for consumers


The purchaser has the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH (Terrassenufer, Treueplatz 2, 01067 Dresden, email: [email protected], tel.: 0351 / 866090) by means of a clear statement of your decision to withdraw from this contract.


§ 11 Final provisions


  1. The business relationship between WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH and the customer is governed exclusively by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The contractual language is German.
  2. Should individual provisions of these T&Cs be invalid or amended by contractual agreement, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these T&Cs.
  3. If the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from contractual relationships between us and the customer is our registered office.


Part II – Catering and charter trips at WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH


§ 1 Conclusion of contract / payment terms


  1. The service contract becomes binding only upon written order confirmation by WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH.
  2. Unless otherwise stated, the agreed prices are exclusive of the applicable statutory VAT.
  3. If the value of the services ordered on a binding basis exceeds €1,000.00, the organiser shall pay a deposit of 50% of the gross total by the 60th calendar day before the event.
  4. Invoices are payable within 10 calendar days of the invoice date without deduction.


§ 2 Conduct of the event


  1. The organiser must inform WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH of the final number of participants ('guaranteed number') no later than 10 calendar days before the date of the event.
  2. The purchaser and the organiser are responsible for items they bring in.
  3. In cases of high or low water, WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH reserves the right to hold the event on a moored ship.
  4. As a rule, the organiser may not bring food and drinks to the events.


§ 3 Termination / cancellation


In the event of cancellation, staggered costs apply depending on the timing:

  • From written conclusion of the contract: 10% of the total turnover as a handling fee
  • From the 60th calendar day before the event: 20% of the total turnover
  • From the 10th calendar day before the event: 50% of the food and drink turnover, 50% of the ship rental, 100% of third-party services
  • From the third day before the event: 100% of the food turnover, 75% of the drink turnover, 100% of the ship rental and third-party services


Part III – Rights and obligations regarding orders in the online area


§ 1 General provisions / scope


  1. These T&Cs govern the legal relationship between us and the customer who places orders in our online shop.
  2. These T&Cs also apply if the customer uses conditions that differ from them.
  3. By submitting the order, the customer warrants that they have full legal capacity to contract.
  4. We provide our services to consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB and entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB.


§ 2 Conclusion of contract / subject matter of the contract / tickets


  1. The presentation of goods/services in the online areas does not constitute a binding offer to conclude a contract.
  2. By ordering the desired goods/services by clicking the 'order with obligation to pay' button, the customer submits a binding offer to conclude a purchase contract.
  3. The subject matter and content of the contract result from these T&Cs, the customer's order and the acceptance by WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH.
  4. We are entitled to accept the offer within 7 days of the order being placed.


§ 3 Ordering process / mandatory information


During the purchase process, the customer must provide mandatory information so that the purchase can be completed. Mandatory fields are marked as such and must be filled in by the customer.


§ 4 Prices / remuneration / payment terms


  1. Remuneration is based on the prices stated during the ordering process. All prices quoted are in euros.
  2. The amount of packaging and shipping costs results from the ordering process.
  3. As a rule, the seller offers the payment options PayPal, credit card and Sofortüberweisung.
  4. All prices quoted apply only within Germany and only at the time of ordering.


§ 5 Delivery / delivery terms


The delivery terms and delivery times result from the information provided during the ordering process. WEIßE FLOTTE SACHSEN GmbH may use third parties for the delivery of goods and/or the provision of services.


§ 6 Retention of title / right of retention / registration / data


  1. Our goods remain our property until the customer's payment obligations have been fulfilled.
  2. In the event of default on the agreed remuneration, we are entitled to exercise a right of retention with regard to the delivery of the goods.
  3. The customer can place their orders by registering or by ordering as a guest.


§ 7 Warranty / damages / liability


  1. The statutory provisions apply with regard to liability for material defects and warranty.
  2. Further claims for damages are excluded unless they are due to intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
  3. These disclaimers of liability also apply to the activities of our vicarious agents.


§ 8 Transfer of risk / duty to give notice of defects


The risk of loss of the purchased goods passes only upon handover of the goods to the customer if the customer placed the order in their capacity as a consumer within the meaning of § 377 HGB.


§ 9 Vouchers / combi tickets


Our gift vouchers are valid until the end of the third year after purchase, with the purchase date being decisive. A claim to a cash payout exists only if the ordered and/or purchased goods and/or services no longer exist at the time of redemption.
